   Meet Dr Uma

Dr Periyanayagam, or 'Dr Uma' as she prefers to be called, is a true Southern girl and Wildcat at heart.  She attended the University of Kentucky and completed her Pediatric specialty medical training at Oakland University William Beaumont Hospital School of Medicine in 2011.  Dr Uma is passionate about improving ALL health parameters in all children.  She believes Preventative Medicine is the heart of Pediatrics.  Dr Uma specializes in the care of children from birth to age 21.  Special interests include newborn care, breastfeeding, obesity, autism/ASD spectrum disorders, and Adolescent Medicine.  When not at the office, Dr Uma enjoys writing, tennis, and spending time with her husband, son and daughter.  She believes it really does take a village to raise a child, and is looking forward to being a part of yours!  Dr Uma is double board-certified by the American Academy of Pediatrics and American Academy of Obesity Medicine, and is also an IBLCE (lactation consultant).  â€‹â€‹

MEET DR PARMAR

Dr Parmar is a North Carolina native, and the newest, yet most irreplaceable member of our team.  He attended East Carolina University and completed his Internal Medicine residency training at Mount Carmel West Hospital in Columbus, OH in 2012.  Dr Parmar is passionate about improving primary care access and quality of care.  He believes an ounce of prevention is greater than a pound of cure.  Always the perfectionist, he leaves no question unanswered or any part of your medical plan incomplete.  His true passions are Obesity Medicine, Aesthetics, Anti Aging, and Preventive medicine/Primary Care.   When not at the office, Dr Parmar enjoys rock climbing, video games, and spending time with his wife, son and daughter.  He also wants to be a part of your village, and adores children!  Dr Parmar is double board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and American Academy of Obesity Medicine.    â€‹â€‹
